Jacob Claassen (he/him) is a Lighting Designer, Theater Electrician, and Technical Director from Goshen Indiana. Jacob holds a BA in theater from Goshen College and brings a strong background in both theatrical and live event lighting to every event he works. He recently completed a national tour as head electrician for Monster Energy AMA Supercross and has designed lighting for Theater Edge productions of Ordinary Days and Blood Brothers. Jacob is a member of IATSE Local 187 and helps bring Broadway tours to South Bend, including Mamma Mia!, Dear Evan Hansen, and Ain’t Too Proud.
Currently Jacob is working as the Lead Theatre Technician for the University of Notre Dame and continues to freelance around Michiana.
He would like to thank his fiancée, Rebecca Choi, for always having his back while he pursues a career in the arts.
